1. Information Collection & Usage

Nummo: Expense Tracker collects zero personal identifiable information (PII) and zero financial account credentials. You do not need to create an account, register an email address, or log in to use the application.

All data entered into the application—including transaction amounts, note descriptions, transaction categories, monthly budget allocations, and running balances—remains strictly confined to your physical device.

2. Local Data Persistence & Encryption

Your financial records are stored locally using Android's native system APIs (SharedPreferences) and hardware-backed key storage (FlutterSecureStorage):

  • All transaction data is serialized and stored exclusively on your internal device storage.
  • No remote database connections, API gateways, or third-party backup servers are utilized.
  • Clearing application data via system settings or uninstalling the app permanently erases all local transaction records from your device.

3. Device Security & Biometric Lock

Nummo provides optional local security features, including custom PIN lock and Biometric authentication (Fingerprint Unlock):

  • Biometric authentication utilizes native system security APIs (Android KeyStore / LocalAuthentication).
  • Biometric sensor data is processed strictly by your device's secure hardware enclave. Nummo never accesses or receives raw biometric samples.
  • Your security PIN is hashed and stored in encrypted local storage. It is never transmitted over any network.

4. System Permissions

Nummo requests minimal system permissions strictly required for local operation:

  • android.permission.USE_BIOMETRIC: Required solely to trigger your device's native fingerprint unlock prompt when app lock is enabled.
  • Storage Access / File Saver: Used exclusively when you manually trigger a data export (JSON, CSV, or Excel format) to save your backup file to a local folder.

Nummo does not require or request network or internet connectivity permissions for any core budgeting features.

5. Third-Party Analytics, Tracking & Advertisements

We strictly oppose user tracking and data monetization. Nummo contains:

  • 0 Analytics SDKs (No Google Analytics, Firebase, or Mixpanel).
  • 0 Advertising Networks (No AdMob, Facebook Ads, or tracking banners).
  • 0 Telemetry Trackers or behavioral event monitoring libraries.

6. Data Ownership & Deletion Rights

You retain complete ownership of your personal finance data:

  • Data Export: You can export your full transaction history anytime to JSON or CSV files stored locally on your device.
  • Data Deletion: Since zero data is transmitted to external servers, deleting your data is instantaneous. You can clear all data inside the app under Settings > Clear All Data, or uninstall the application to erase all stored data immediately.

7. Children's Privacy

Nummo does not target, collect, or process information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted by the application, it complies fully with COPPA and global child protection standards.
